The Carry is an excellent choice for professional hoof trimmers who are trimming more farms a day. By introducing this towable version, the aim is to improve the ease and time of setup and increase overall mobility while maintaining the exceptional ergonomic design that ANKA is renowned for.
Aspects that characterize the Carry as being fast to set up is the fact that there is no need to disassemble brake wires, driving platers or drawbars, which saves time, especially if there are multiple trips to different farms in a single day.
The chute is created in collaboration with hoof trimmers, who always give useful and practical insight which helps improve hoof trimmer’s daily work by providing them exactly what they need; and it has been rigorously tested.
The Carry maintains the well-known ANKA chute ergonomic abilities by providing 50 cm chute rise, which results in a comfortable position for hoof trimmers and protects them from straining their back and neck during long trimming times.
It is a fully hydraulic crush: the lifting of the chute, axle positioning, front and tail gates, belly bands and the lifting of all four legs! The hydraulics, in combination with the reliable stainless-steel frame and aluminium gates, make the crush durable, stable and ideal for working alone, as it keep the strength and weight balanced.
The Carry setup with the barrier is perfect for pulling the cow in; you can fix one side pf the gate and use the other side as a flexible funnel for pulling the cow. With these hurdles/gates you can use low stress cattle handling techniques like the reverse funnel, turning a cow 180° to introduce her in the crush. It takes advantage of the natural instinct of a cow, as they like to return to the last known safe place. The gate system contains two first sections with walk-through gates to be able to move faster around the crush.
